Alice Vadrot

is a professor of international environmental policy at the University of Vienna and a member of the Young Academy of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on international biodiversity policy, and she specialises in multilateral negotiations on the protection of the oceans. In Austria, as a member of the Austrian Biodiversity Council, she advocates for strengthening the links between science, politics and society. In 2025, she was awarded the Henrik Enderlein Prize for outstanding social science research and her political commitment in the field of multilateral environmental diplomacy and biodiversity policy in Austria.
